Georgetown - Pownal
A public servant and community advocate living in Primrose, Eddie brings a strong record of leadership and local engagement to the race. With a background in environmental science, union advocacy, and manufacturing, he has built a career dedicated to improving Islanders' lives through collaboration, transparency, and accountability.
Eddie grew up in Summerside and has been involved with the Green Party for many years in various roles, including as past co-chair of the Governance Committee, past co-chair of the AGM Committee, past Regional Association chair, and volunteer. He is passionate about Green values and community engagement. He has lived in several Island communities over the years and is excited to be setting down roots in District 2.
Eddie is running to represent the residents of District 2 because of his deep commitment to listening directly to Islanders about their concerns - whether that’s healthcare, housing, land, the cost of living, or the environment. As MLA for Georgetown–Pownal, Eddie will work with his neighbours, listen to their ideas, and bring them directly to the legislature.
In his current role with the Department of Environment, Energy and Climate Action, Eddie works directly with Islanders to address water quality concerns and engage with communities to resolve local water issues. He also brings valuable governance and fiscal experience, having served on Holland College’s Board of Governors and Finance Committee as well as the former President of the Holland College Student Union, a role in which he championed initiatives regarding housing availability and affordability, access to healthcare resources, and student health and well-being.
Eddie is excited to be building his life in Primrose, at the heart of District 2, and to work on behalf of his neighbours to make his community a better place. Known for his thoughtful approach to complex issues as well as his integrity and honesty, Eddie has established himself as a leader who celebrates community engagement and transparency, the importance of sustainable planning, and the role of young people in shaping the future of Prince Edward Island. His extensive experience in public service and grassroots initiatives as well as his commitment to community advocacy will make him an excellent MLA for Georgetown–Pownal.
